£40 million & record customer satisfaction:
Another outstanding year for The Consortium!

The Consortium, the award-winning national purchasing and distribution company, announced today a pre-tax profit of £527,000 for the year ending 3 October 2004 on a turnover of £40 million.
Rob Stafford, Finance Director comments: “Our core mail order business to customers in the Education & Social Care sector is showing strong growth and our underlying profitability is increasing. We continue to work very hard on every aspect of our customer proposition. As a consequence, we have yet again achieved record customer satisfaction scores and further won market share.”
The Consortium was short-listed in 2004 for the Educational Supplier of the Year Award and has just achieved the ISO18001 Health and Safety accreditation standard. In 2005 the business expects to achieve the ISO14001 environmental accreditation standard to minimise The Consortium’s impact on the environment and to trade in a sustainable fashion.
