Open days have been held, staff have dressed up in school uniforms and tins have been rattled by people-sized teddy bears! The Consortium has worked extremely hard over the past year to raise as much as possible for an extremely worthwhile cause.

By November The Consortium had already exceeded its annual target to raise £10,000 for the company nominated charity, Cancer Research UK.

The £10,000 mark was upped by another £1500 as The Consortium's staff delved through their wardrobes to clear their clutter for the Big Ker-Ching Collection in January. This year's wardrobe amnesty raised more than triple that generated last year!

Tim Rowland, Corporate Fundraising Manager, comments: "We are very grateful to our colleagues at The Consortium for such an impressive contribution in 2004. It's great to be working with them and their continued initiative will make a great contribution to our work, helping to cure cancer faster."

Jeff Gould, Chief Executive, comments: "We are delighted with our achievements over the past year for Cancer Research UK. We have had lots of fun raising the funds and we have lots of exciting ideas for 2005 as we endeavour to do all we can to support this charity which is close to our hearts."

Cancer Research UK's vision is to conquer cancer through world-class research. It is the largest volunteer-sponsored cancer research organisation in the world and the charity supports the work of 3,000 scientists working across the UK. Its annual scientific spend is more than £191 million, which is raised almost entirely through public donations.
