Win a free holiday!.. By becoming The Consortium's Employee Of the Year!

18th January 2005

The Consortium, the award-winning, national procurement and fulfilment company has announced this year's Employee of the Year at their End of Year Presentation.

The event was held at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford-on-Avon on Friday 17th December to celebrate the achievements of The Consortium due to the efforts of their committed and loyal workforce.

From many potential candidates, Wayne Heath was chosen as The Consortium's Employee of the Year 2004. Wayne took on a great deal more responsibility when he was promoted to his current position as Outbound Logistics Supervisor earlier in 2004. Many of Wayne's team voted for him and a big cheer from his team resounded through the venue as Wayne collected the award along with £400 of travel vouchers.

One of Wayne's colleagues comments: "Wayne is helpful, motivating, positive and fair. He always goes out of his way to help above and beyond the call of duty and is highly regarded by everyone he works with."

In second place Charlotte Padfield, the customer support trainer was awarded with a Red Letter Days Experience voucher while third place went to Stuart Taylor, the Web Developer who won £50 of Tesco vouchers.

The colleague of the year, Jacquie Selby, The Consortium's afternoon receptionist also won a Red Letter Day Experience voucher. Jacquie is renowned for always being cheerful and courteous, not least when she dressed as a teddy bear to collect money for Cancer Research UK.

Jeff Gould, Chief Executive comments: "We are delighted with the achievements of all our staff and management this year, Wayne's award is a testament to his hard work and commitment to The Consortium. The entire day was focused on celebration of the year's successes and we hope that 2005 will continue to further the company's ambitions."

The day event climaxed in a surprise outing for the staff to Cumberwell Golf Club for champagne toast and lunch, and each employee was presented with £35 Tesco vouchers.
